The shoot itself is set in the challenging South Wiltshire valleys that provide excellent sport. Windwhistle Shoot was established by Ali Thorne over 26 years ago and prides itself as a Family run friendly shoot providing sporting simulated clay days over chalk downland. We offer full hospitality throughout the day from our well-equipped shooting lodge and gun bus.

Simulated Game Day
Windwhistle Shoot can now offer a Simulated Game Day with all the thrills and excitement of a driven partridge day in the sunshine.
With Ten people shooting over 5 Pegs and changing half way through the drive. Most days will be 4 drives but can be tailored to your requirements,
Full Hospitality is on hand throughout the day and tailored to your needs. Lunch is served in our warm and friendly shoot lodge, Staff will look after all your needs whilst you relax and take in some of our spectacular views after a good days sport.

At Windwhistle Shoot we are renowned for our hospitality and we can promise you a day you really won't forget. We offer a warm welcome from the moment you book your peg and if you have any queries leading up to the day Ali & Chloe are on hand to help. Our aim is to ensure you have a fantastic experience on the shoot, taking in the superb scenery as we shoot different drives.

Cartridges
All guns must use fibre wad cartridges and we recommend a maximum load of 24g. We sell 12 and 20 bore cartridges so if you run short on the day you can stock up with us. We only carry a limited stock so it pays to stock up beforehand or let us know ahead of time if you think you’ll need to purchase on the day

Transportation
Guns are taken around in our new home built gunbus which hold's a full hospitality bar that can be used between drives.

Itinerary
9.00am: Meet at shoot lodge.
9.30am: Safety briefing,loading cartridges. Hats + glasses sorted. Hats can be purchased if required.
10.00am: Two drives with small elevenses in-between.
12.00pm: Main elevenses at the shoot lodge.
1.00pm: Two more drives.
2.30pm: Back to the shoot lodge for a sit down meal.
